Error message: Word cannot start the converter mswrd632.wpc. How can I correct?

This error shows up when I try to open certain Word documents using the .doc extension.

    Hi Remesh,

    It did not work on my computer. No more error message but the words I can;t recognize so can;t read.

    Well, word can't start converter then we shouldn't use computer? Don't you think so?

    I think it should be Macrosoft instead of micro, therefore there are so many unwanted and delicate troubles for let us to suffer.

    You can't kill microorganism so be same.

    check the file in notepad- if the first line contains [Content_Types].xml rename .doc to .docx  and it will work.    Just make sure your office 2003 is up to date and you have the 2007 comp pack installed with all service packs/updates.
