Microsoft Access can't find the wizard.

Are there any further developments/solutions? I too have this though a bit different. I am attempting to link to outlook folders/tables. All work with the exception of Calendar. I have tired each and every step discussed in this form to no avail. Any further developments?

I have the same problem. I am running MS Office  Professional Plus 2010 on Windows 7 64bits.

I've tried all  solutions disclosed in this post:  http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-US;2488177, and renaming VBA folder with no success.

Before updating to MS Office  Professional Plus 2010, I was runnig MS Office  Professional  2007, then I updated to the trial version of MS Office 2010 downloaded from MS site (removing MSO 2007 )and finally I installed on top of the trial version of MS 2010, MS Office Professional Plus 2010 expecting that the trial would be removed.

As MS 2010 trial version co-existed in the system with MSO Office Professional Plus 2010, I removed it from the control panel (Adding/removing programs) so now I have only MSO Professional Plus 2010 installed and there is no way to  to import a file in Microsoft Access 2010, allways same error:

"Microsoft Access can't start this wizard. This feature is not available. To make this feature available, run Setup again, click "Add or remove Features" and change the feature to "Run from My Computer".

unfortunately I have struggled all day with this. Following the renaming instruction makes the wizard appear and Excel data comes in smoothly through the Wizard. However following problem arises instead:

i) Access tries installing VBA components when launched, installation fails. New VBA folder is installed in the same directory where the renamed old vba folder resides

ii) VBA functionality in Excel is disabled. Hence recording new Macros or loading VBA-dependent Excel add-ins fail...

In addition to what Kathy mentioned a few posts ago, we have seen another cause for this type of issue (which I believe someone else mentioned earlier). This problem can also happen if Access 2010 stand-alone version is installed on a machine where a Microsoft Office 2010 Professional suite is installed and during the installation of Microsoft Office 2010 Professional, Access was set to "Not Available." Please see the KB article below for possible resolutions:

Are you saying you just want Access 2010 and none of the other applications?  OR are you trying to install Access to a different location?
