Microsoft Access can't find the wizard.

Hello Everyone,

In addition to what Kathy mentioned a few posts ago, we have seen another cause for this type of issue (which I believe someone else mentioned earlier). This problem can also happen if Access 2010 stand-alone version is installed on a machine where a Microsoft Office 2010 Professional suite is installed and during the installation of Microsoft Office 2010 Professional, Access was set to "Not Available." Please see the KB article below for possible resolutions:

Are you saying you just want Access 2010 and none of the other applications?  OR are you trying to install Access to a different location?

I'm getting the same error, and have tried all but one of the solutions mentioned; that is doing a stand alone install of Access.  BTW - I did a clean install of Windows 7 and Office 2010 Pro Plus.  The wizardss and links worked in Office 2007, operating with Windows 7; if i can't resolve this, I'm going to revert back to Office 2007.

There is a way to install Office without Access by doing a custom install and deselecting Access.  Then one can go back and do a separate install of Access.  I'm going to give it a try.  I also have initiated a tech support request with Microsoft on this.

Actually, thanks for the help but don't need it.

Renaming the VBA7 folder did the trick to me. I repaired, rebooted and it did work finally. I was going nuts over that.

As soon as I launched Access after the repair, it asked to install 'something' related to VBA and it even installed my language pack for the add-in too automatically.
