Hiya.
So I keep getting the above message only on my Microsoft WORD Document. When I open the Document everything is locked - I cannot click anywhere.
Initially I thought it was beacuse I was using the trail version, so I installed a full version of Office Home and Student 2007 (My sister lend me her disk, it had 2 download licenses remaining, so I used one). Everything else: Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote is working fine. But the WORD document is still locked.
I would really appriciate your help.

Hi. I cracked it, and thought i would share it with you.
All I had to do was to close the document, write click on properties > Advance and uncheck 'File is ready for archiving' and 'Allow this document to have file indexed in addition to ....' > click on ok and it worked.

yeh where do you click what properties where is all this stuff your on about i have no **** clue what your on about
With a thread this long, it would be helpful if you stated what it was that you refer to by "this solution" that did not work.
Also, what is the exact message that you receive when you try and modify a document.
What version of Office are you using?
Does this happen with all documents or is it just one document with which you have the problem.
As you have posted into a thread that has already been marked as answered, it would really be a good idea to start a new thread as some people who can help you may not bother opening a thread that is marked as answered.
