Hiya.

So I keep getting the above message only on my Microsoft WORD Document. When I open the Document everything is locked - I cannot click anywhere.

Initially I thought it was beacuse I was using the trail version, so I installed a full version of Office Home and Student 2007 (My sister lend me her disk, it had 2 download licenses remaining, so I used one). Everything else: Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote is working fine. But the WORD document is still locked.

I would really appriciate your help.

Hi. I cracked it, and thought i would share it with you.

All I had to do was to close the document, write click on properties > Advance and uncheck 'File is ready for archiving' and 'Allow this document to have file indexed in addition to ....' > click on ok and it worked.

    If you see this message for a single document, then it contains a protected content control.

    If all documents give the same error message, then you are running an expired trial version of Office.

    Note that if you are sure that you have a full version, there may be a trial version installed alongside your full version. You can safely remove the trial and then repair your remaining full version.

    If the Office installation is fully functional, then the message suggests that the document contains a content control which is protected from deletion.
