Excel 2007, Undesired selection of multiple cells

I am using excel 2007, on occasion when i try to select any one cell it will highlight and select multiple cells. Once this occurs it happens with every cell I click on.

I have heard, but cannot confirm, that some people with this problem have found that altering the zoom level (slider in lower right corner of Excel window) gets the multiple seelction to go away

    Thanks RickR59, I've not had it back in several months but as I said I have rebuilt a few books now. If it comes back I'll try the 'normal' tab as it is a pain when you're right in the middle of working.

    I have this issue once in a blue moon. Found that just changing the view (from page layout to normal) works sometimes.

    A user had this same problem today using Excel 2010.  Changing his zoom level to 105% solved the problem!

    A very handy bug.
