My computer will only print one copy even tho i select muliple copies

I cant seem to figure out why the programme will only allow me to print one copy of a document at a time even tho multiple copies are selected!! i have installed the printer drivers again and am nearly sure that its not the printers fault? any ideas anyone?

Just to confirm this fixed the issue for me.  Printer is an HP LaserJet 3330 using Windows 7's own driver.  Disabling Mopier mode (which had been enabled by default) fixed the problem and allowed multiple copies to be printed.   Steps to fix:

  1. Start > Devices and Printers

2. Double-click printer

  1. Double-click "Customize your printer"
  2. Click "Device Settings" tab
  3. Scroll to bottom of page and change "Mopier Mode" to Disabled under the "Installable Options" group.

Thanks for pointing this out David, it's something that's been bugging me since Vista.

Does this issue happen only with Word?

Did you try to print in other Office applications like Excel?

Check if you can print multiple copies in WordPad and Excel.

If it happens only in Word, check this article and see if it helps

    But what's with this Mopier" mode -- Is this some programmer's idea of a joke?   Just in case you want your printer to mope around, and only print one copy at a time, you can now select Mopier mode.

    I am experiencing this problem with a brand new Brother MFC-9340CDW printer.  I can print multiple copies to other printers on the network.

    Brother Tech Support suggested a "Damaged Print Processor" in WIN7 PRO.  I have a 2 month old Dell Optiplex 9020 with WIN7 PRO.

    I can print multiple copies from MS WORD but not from Powerpoint, MS EXCEL, Adobe Acrobat (any PDF), or when printing from a web browser.

    I have tried numerous settings but no luck.

    Looking for suggestions please!
