I want to add a page number in word 2010, but there are  no options of varying page numbers. What it says is just More page numbers from office.com and save selection as page number(in grey). Nornally, wasn't it supposed to show all the pictures of the options listed?

So, I wanted to find More Page Numbers from Office.com, but there were No Online Content Available.

The problem was fixed by making "C:\Users...\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks\1033"unhidden, although I didn’t delete the “Building Blocks.dotx” mentioned inhttp://www.conetrix.com/Blog/post/Fix-Missing-Insert-Page-Numbers-in-Word-2007.aspx.

But why aren't there more Page Numbers from Office.com?

Anyways, thanks for all the help.

    We are not going in circles. This does not work

    In the Customize Keyboard dialog box, verify that Alt+Shift+P is assigned to the InsertPageField command. If it isn't, you can reassign it manually.

    Alt-Shift-P inserts a page number in every version of Word I've worked with since Word 3.0 (which predates Word 95 by a long shot.

    Unless this was a DOS version, it was either 1.0 for Windows (I assume there was such), 2.0 for Windows (which is where I started), or 6.0. There were no versions 3, 4, or 5 for Windows. Microsoft's explanation at the time was that it wanted to jump the Windows version number to correspond with the DOS version (which surely must have been very much on the way out by then), but skeptics claimed it was because 6.0 was the current version of WordPerfect.

    If you are missing the page number gallery the problem is with your building blocks file as discussed in Page numbering problems Word 2007 & 2010. What I am talking about by Page Number Gallery is shown below:
