How do I make the "Paste Options" popup go away after pasting text?

I'm using Office 2007 on Windows 7 Professional.

This drives me crazy, and right now it's blocking other text I need to edit. When I move text around, using the right-click cut and paste menu, after pasting the paste options popup shows, and it won't go away, even if I choose a paste option. How do I make the stupid thing disappear after I'm done with it?

No, there is not a X in the corner of the Paste options button in word. This is what you are reading, Yes?

I would point out that this "cancels" the copy/paste operation, which may not be desirable in all instances. For example, I am trying to paste things on a diagonal, so the next box I want to paste into is one cell down and to the right, which happens to be covered with the paste options popup. So I can either disable the popup, or cancel the copy/paste then reselect and copy/paste again. Not a solution in that case.

Note that you can paste quickly using the Ctrl+V shortcut. The Paste Options button will reappear.
