How do I make the "Paste Options" popup go away after pasting text?

I'm using Office 2007 on Windows 7 Professional.

This drives me crazy, and right now it's blocking other text I need to edit.  When I move text around, using the right-click cut and paste menu, after pasting the paste options popup shows, and it won't go away, even if I choose a paste option.  How do I make the stupid thing disappear after I'm done with it?

    It's still the same for Word 2013 and still just as annoying and hard to get rid of.

    You can hide the Paste Options button altogether (File | Options | Advanced: "Show Paste Options button when content is pasted"), or you can press ESC to hide the button when it appears, or you can just ignore it and continue typing, in which case it will disappear by itself.

    If you want to change the behavior of the Paste Options button, I suggest that you post a suggestion at http://word.uservoice.com.
