How do I make the "Paste Options" popup go away after pasting text?

I'm using Office 2007 on Windows 7 Professional.

This drives me crazy, and right now it's blocking other text I need to edit.  When I move text around, using the right-click cut and paste menu, after pasting the paste options popup shows, and it won't go away, even if I choose a paste option.  How do I make the stupid thing disappear after I'm done with it?

    I tried the ESC button, and POOF! it was gone. Thank you, Suzanne, and everyone else who suggested this. Tell me, if I disable it altogether, it won't interfere with my general cut, paste, and copy, will it?

    Can you not dismiss it with ESC? And of course you can disable it entirely at File | Options | Advanced: Cut, copy, and paste.

    It'll disappear by itself, yes, but it appears after I have just moved something and need to retype something there, and it's in the way. As I said on another post, why did the Word geniuses create this nuisance in the first place? It appears AFTER I've already moved what I need to move, so it's not needed.

    I get rid of it by hitting Enter with the cursor somewhere close to the Paste Option. It'll move your text around, and then you'll have to correct it. Why they created this nuisance I wish someone would tell me.
