How do I make the "Paste Options" popup go away after pasting text?

I'm using Office 2007 on Windows 7 Professional.

This drives me crazy, and right now it's blocking other text I need to edit.  When I move text around, using the right-click cut and paste menu, after pasting the paste options popup shows, and it won't go away, even if I choose a paste option.  How do I make the stupid thing disappear after I'm done with it?

    This thread has provided 2 good solutions, thanks to the authors.

    1 Press the Esc button &

    2. click File tab | Options | Advanced, where you'll find "Show Paste Options button when content is pasted." [and untick the box.]

    I hope I've stopped this annoyance reoccurring by choosing option 2.  Option 1 also works but required the work around on every occasion.

    May I suggest to anyone annoyed by 'bumping' postings on this thread , don't read them.

    If the thread is inactive for about a month, then bumping the thread helps nobody. You're not helping anyone. You're just trying to start a pointless argument.

    a) Your assertion is nonsense. The thread helps anyone who searches for it and finds help. By definition. Your own opinions to the contrary are just that. Opinions.

    b) You had already started the pointless argument. Others are merely participating :-)

    If it is helping people, why do you care?

    We're on the fourth page now and an answer was already selected. Most people will only see that answer and leave. This is helping hardly anyone. It's been nearly a month since anyone has posted, so it's unnecessary.
