view only one page on the screen at a time

Hi,

I'm running Microsoft Office XP on win7 64bit and can't seem to find a way to view only one page in a Word document. If I download or write more than one page they come up in two page side by side format on the screen. Is there a way to set one page at a time viewing as default?

Guys, there is a VERY easy fix for Office XP / 2003 users:

Make your MS Word window fullscreen

Now it might display 2 pages side by side (depending on your screen resolution)

To get back to a single page while using the PRINT LAYOUT view, follow below:

Click on VIEW -> choose WEB LAYOUT -> Click VIEW again -> now go back to PRINT LAYOUT

The problem should be solved, if it occurs again in the future, just follow these quick steps

Hi,

Check for the settings under “View” tab. “Print Layout” is the option that has to be checked. If this does not work click “View | Zoom” and then set the value to 100%.

Hi,

Have tried "print layout" and zoom at 100%....neither option works.

If I open view-zoom and click on "whole document" the document shows one page but at 75%. If I try to increase the zoom % it reverts to a two page spread. How can I make "view in one page" the default setting?
