Do you mean within a cell with text wrapping turned on? You can only change the font size, you have no direct control over line spacing within a cell.
If you mean between cells, you can change the row height, of course.

Microsoft's always lacking a feature may hold water, if they didn't change the default line spacing from 1.0 to 1.15. My problem is that I am working on a US Federal grant. A report I have to file has its template in Excel. I cannot get everything I have to report in the allowed page count. I cannot submit with less than 11 pt type. If I could correct this spacing, I could make the page count. The agency allows me to use 1.0 spacing. I am going to try OpenOffice and Google Docs and see if they allow me 1.0 spacing in a cell.
Every week, I end up having to fight a situation where MS does not allow me control over a parameter. There are countless times that I need to fight some predetermined control that the powers that be in Redmond decide is good for me and has nothing to do with the type of work that I do. I'm a little sick of it. If one of the other tools work, I may not be back.
Thank you for taking the effort to respond, your suggestion works when someone tries to fill the cell with evenly distributed text lines, but if you change the cell height to go below the initial amount, the lines ARE NOT closer than 1.15, which is what I need for my files... That was what Gord Dibben clearly explains in his post.
Hi, if there's no direct control over the line spacing within a cell, then could we use some work-around?
It is really a needed feature for the final touch while designing the price lists and other similar materials where Excel is the best choice due to the large number of calculated data in various tables.
