Do you mean within a cell with text wrapping turned on? You can only change the font size, you have no direct control over line spacing within a cell.

If you mean between cells, you can change the row height, of course.

    Office comes bundles with Word.................use that application for your word processing and leave Excel to the number-crunching.

    I need to change the line spacing within a cell all the time.

    Since number crunching in a spread sheet is useless if the cells aren't labeled, some degree of word processing is necessary.

    Changing line spacing is sometimes desirable in order to keep the cell and row spacing format even at the same time as fitting a label for a line in its cell without changing the font too much.

    Excel does not support variable line spacing in cells, and as far as I know it never has.

    It would be a nice feature to have, but I doubt very much that the Excel development team will implement it.

    I mean text line-spacing, as in Word.   I have done it in Excel, but with difficulty.   I had to go into Word and copy text into the Excel cell.   I have tried to do it again, but can't remember how I did it.    My Excel entries have the same 10-point line spacing as in my Word setting.

    There should be a way to control this in Excel (when text-wrapped) as in Word.
