I am trying to embed a video from youtube directly into my powerpoint presentation. Under the insert tab and video pull down list, I have the option of "video from file" and "video from clipart", but the option of "video from website" is there in the pull down menu but I can't "click" it. The option is "greyed out" please help ty.

Requirements for online video sites (Youtube, etc.) are as follows:
Flash Player 10+
Windows Media Player 10 or higher
32-bit Office 2010

I never knew you could embed YouTube videos directly to PowerPoint. I assume you need to be connected to the net to play back.

You do need to be connected to the internet in order for the YouTube video to play. Just because you use the YouTube's embed code doesn't mean it's actually embedded.
In another note, I don't see any kind of free training book on your site. Responding to ancient threads in order to post your site link isn't the best way to go about participating in this community....

I can see you are enthusiatic but that is completely untrue. To use this feature in 64 bit PPT all you need to do is upgrade your Flash Player to a 64 bit version.
