I am trying to embed a video from youtube directly into my powerpoint presentation. Under the insert tab and video pull down list, I have the option of "video from file" and "video from clipart", but the option of "video from website" is there in the pull down menu but I can't "click" it. The option is "greyed out" please help ty.

Flash Player 10+
Windows Media Player 10 or higher
32-bit Office 2010

The solution for me was the removal of the KB2553145, both updates from the windows installed updates. I'm running a 2010 32bit office on windows 7-64bit, and I have been annoyed all day, but this solution worked for me.
After the insert video from website returned, I made a few changes to the embedded code and added the "http:" before the webaddresse, and also changed the value number from 3 to 2 in both places. It finally worked, but wow! Why so much work into something that worked just fine?

office 32 bit
windows 7 professional - it is 64 bit
and i am still not getting the insert|Video|Video from Website.
I understand totally that it has to be Office 32 bit - which I am using - but does it also have to be Windows 32.
This is driving me bonkers!
You need to read some of the more recent posts. Microsoft removed the option in an update last September. 32 / 64 bit makes no difference.
IF you have 2010 this page may help get it back and also give an alternative method of including you tube video.
