I am trying to embed a video from youtube directly into my powerpoint presentation. Under the insert tab and video pull down list, I have the option of "video from file" and "video from clipart", but the option of "video from website" is there in the pull down menu but I can't "click" it. The option is "greyed out" please help ty.

Requirements for online video sites (Youtube, etc.) are as follows:
Flash Player 10+
Windows Media Player 10 or higher
32-bit Office 2010
Does your system meet all of those requirements?

Pretty sure the old 32 bit Flash player worked in Windows 64 (if Office was 32 bit) but it didn't work at all with 64 bit office
Well, Windows 64-bit is a little relevant since there wasn't a Flash player for it, right? :-)
But, as you've noted, now there is. Yay!
When Echo posted (Note it was 2010!) there was no 64 bit Flash player available. Now there is and if it's installed you should be able to use the Video from web option on PPT 64 bit. Without it the option will be greyed out.
Also WINDOWS 64 is irrelevant to this function it's OFFICE 64 bit that matters
Well this is Not right
I have a windows 7 64 bit machine and i have the option enabled.
and on a different machine ( identical ) is disabled which i can not understand.
must be something is missing ?
