I am trying to embed a video from youtube directly into my powerpoint presentation. Under the insert tab and video pull down list, I have the option of "video from file" and "video from clipart", but the option of "video from website" is there in the pull down menu but I can't "click" it. The option is "greyed out" please help ty.

Requirements for online video sites (Youtube, etc.) are as follows:
Flash Player 10+
Windows Media Player 10 or higher
32-bit Office 2010
Does your system meet all of those requirements?

DID enable this feature in 64 bit PPT 2010 for us, I should point out we have this only to check out compatibility for clients who refuse to believe they don't need it and would be better with 32bit. Here's the test I give them
Print out the largest excel sheet you ever made for your boss.
Consider how you are going to get it to him / her.
If the answer isn't you need to hire a pick up truck go for 32 bit!

Adobe Flash Player 10.2 (code named "Square") does provide 64-bit compatibility.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and Office 2010 Professional Plus 64-bit and the version of Adobe Flash Player that is version 10.2 works with the embed HTML video feature in PowerPoint.
I don't know how much clearer I can make it -- this feature is NOT available in 64-bit Office. (How do I put this in 60-point type, because everyone seems to choose to ignore that part of the requirements.)
This is because the Flash Player is 32-bit. If you read all the way through the thread, you'll see that someone's posted about a beta 64-bit Adobe Flash Player. Maybe try that and then see if the feature is enabled.

Not all youtube videos can be downloaded. Isn't that correct?
