macro for performing more than one find and replace procedure at the same time

ok, i've got to about 700!! find and replace procedures for a document of TWO MILLION words so this macro could save me about 4 hours of work.

i tried to rewrite this macro so that it would work but it didn't.  can anyone help me out

    You can simplify each of your find-replace blocks in the macro as follows:

      With Selection.Find

            .ClearFormatting

            .Replacement.ClearFormatting

            .Text = " mit den "

            .Replacement.Text = " mitden"

            .Forward = True

            .Wrap = wdFindContinue

            .Format = False

            .MatchCase = False

            .MatchWholeWord = False

            .MatchWildcards = False

            .MatchSoundsLike = False

            .MatchAllWordForms = False

            .Execute Replace:=wdReplaceAll

      End With

    If all your Find-Replace Operations have the following conditions, you can state them once at the top of the macro and then leave them out each find-replace block:

      With Selection.Find

            .Forward = True

            .Wrap = wdFindContinue

            .Format = False

            .MatchCase = False

            .MatchWholeWord = False

            .MatchWildcards = False

            .MatchSoundsLike = False

            .MatchAllWordForms = False

      End With

    then your find-replace blocks can simply be like so:

            .ClearFormatting

            .Replacement.ClearFormatting
