This happened to me the other day when I was connected to a backend data file on my flash drive while I had the database open on my computer. I removed the flash drive from the computer and up came that message about "Your network access was interrupted ....

Do you have a shared backend file on a network server? Is the connection dropping out when you see that message?

If you can't prevent the interruption to the connection to the backend data file, your users need to know why their database won't work.

If you provide some more information about when this error happens, we can help you with more appropriate information.

I was recently working with a client and their IT department decided to move the backend database to another server. They did it without notifying us and, although we didn't get the message the OP got, it did have the unfortunate effect of corrupting the backend. I had a "fun time" getting it repaired.

The solution is in the message, close the database and reopen it. The message means that your network connection to the database was lost. either because of a network problem or the database was moved while you had it open. There is nothing else you can do but close the database on your end and hope the data doesn't get corrupted.

If the problem persists, then contact your IT department to check if there is a problem with your access to the network.

My network access in my office is somewhat iffy. So I do all my development on a local drive, because of too frequently getting this message.

SOLUTION TO ERROR " Your network access was interrupted. To continue close the database and then open it again."

I get this problem too. As far as I have noticed, it only appears when running Access 2007 on Windows 7 (not on XP for me, and I have tried to replicate it). I have tried changing network ports, cables etc to no avail. In my set-up, I have the database split, with both parts residing on the same server. I have googled extensively for soloutions but yet to find anything useful (although I did fix other access problems - like crashing when you open tables - by uninstalling the HP protect tools which HP install needlessly on new computers).
