How do you report a product bug to Microsoft?

I've discovered a couple of bugs with Excel Conditional formatting that have been confirmed by others, but other than people knowing people (who know people) who work at Microsoft there doesn't seem to be any forum, website, email address etc. for John Q. Public to report issues with a product. I'm not talking about complaining about missing features etc., I'm talking about "broken" features.

Anybody insights?

    Shane, what I most disappointed about is a) the lack of response by Microsoft folks on this forum to the question and b) as you pointed out, an official site from Microsoft.

    As Rollo pointed out there is a link where one can suggest "feedback" https://feedback.office.microsoft.com/default.aspx?productkey=office2007.  And Amit Velinkar, who I believe is with Microsoft, provided this link (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/excel/contact.aspx) from another thread of mine to report an Excel issue.  This seems totally random and uncoordintated. The second link is only for Excel.

    One would have thought that since this is a Microsoft sponsored (hosted) forum they would have people monitoring it and provide input.

    Perhaps I will go to heaven simply knowing that I tried...Sly

    MVP's often have direct connections to Microsoft employees who forward the bug reports.  At least one of the reasons that there probably is not direct method is 1. Most bug reports are not bugs, 2. Microsoft has the beta testing period when bug reports are collected formally, 3. Microsoft has MVP which report issue.  Never the less without a offical site, we are all somewhat frustrated.

    I agree Sly that it is very discouraging to ask a question and not have it answered. I found my own bug as well and have spent too long searching MS for a viable reporting system. I do think that Rollo supplied the best response considering the option with the product feedback link 4 posts above this one.  I did go to support.microsoft.com to ask them. I was not going to go through 20 questions on the help line and tried to use chat. Chat was down at the moment. Wonderful MS.

    Office is not using the connect service for 2007.
