How do I get the classic Excel menu back in Excel 2010?

I'm talking about the Excel menu before this totally useless menu was introduced in Excel 2007.

    "Old Codgers?" The arrogance of Microsoft on this issue is astonishing. From what I'm reading here, there's no way to go back without paying a ransom to Microsoft or to some third party vendor. This is the worst UI I've ever seen.

    Unfortunately, you apparently have to sign up for some God-forsaken Microsoft live account to access that link.

    Thanks for trying. I now consider Microsoft Office an ANTI-productivity tool

    UBit does, indeed, look like a useful bit of software for those who still find the ribbon difficult.

    But there is a telling paragraph on the UBit website:

    "UBitMenu does not hide the ribbon interface, but adds the classic menu as a new ribbon. Gradually you will realize that many functions are easier to handle using Office ribbons. Microsoft® has done a good job there. "
