How do I get the classic Excel menu back in Excel 2010

1.5 years later, I still sympathize with the old codgers, but the refusal/reluctance to relearn (and the need to handle legacy users) is a hindrance to product development in more ways than one.

I am an 'old codger' myself, though probably not as much a power user as some others here.  Until 2010 I was using MS Office 2000 and WordPerfect 2000.  I still use WordPerfect where I can (functionally better than Word!...) but I found the new ribbon interface of Office 2010 much more pleasant and easier to use than the old version.  And I like it when other apps emulate it, one example being Nitro PDF Reader

To gain space on the screen one can easily close the ribbon.

I found the MVP Graham Mayor's responses in 2010 perfectly reasonable and not all arrogant.  I wonder how many of the opponents feel now., in 2013...

I'd like to know how to make the window header dark like other XP windows in "Classic Windows scheme."

"I do NOT want to learn ....... " is part of the problem here. I learnt on the 2003 version too, but I got changed over to 2007 when my computer went for repairs. 

Here's what I used during the transition. Go to this link http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/interactive-excel-2003-to-excel-2007-command-reference-guide-HA010149151.aspx?CTT=3 and click Start the Guide. It will show you where to go in the 2007 version when you click your familiar command on a 2003 dummy screen.

Microsoft does offer a classic menu add on to download from their site:  *Removed* Of course you have to pay an additional $15 each to get back your classic menus for each program in the MS Office suite.  So it seems the REAL REASON the menu was UNNECESSARILY CHANGED AND COMPLICATED for the 2007 and 2010 Office program was REALLY just a ploy for MICROSOFT TO MAKE MORE MONEY !  With the economy being a bad as it is right now, and all of us being RUSHED to GET IT DONE,  I would like to emphasize microsoft's LACK OF CONCERN for the businesses, and consumers who have traditionally supported its Office Products.  If this is the wave of the future for Microsoft, I can hardly wait to see the Android programs get improved enough to compete with Microsoft Windows programs as well.  Since it has moved a lot of its customer service jobs overseas any way I suppose it is a statement to where Microsoft's Loyalties Lie.  I  Welcome the competition for Microsoft as I have left to join the OpenOffice switch over gang and I have no intention of going back again !  Will they wake up before the get the ultimate BITE from their consumers is a great question?
