'there was a problem sending the command to the program' error message in windows 7 using word 2007

I agree.  But which version works better.  80% of my job depends on this program.

There is a problem with 2007 putting my fies in protected view so I cannot access them by just opening word 2007. I have to open the documents file Which shows at the top as 2 and open the files from here. I seem to be unable to shut down the Protected View. It just makes for more steps that I have to go through to access my files. If it were only doing this to questionable files it would not be so bad but it is doing this to files I have created myself as well.

Windows 7 is really frustrating to use, I thought it would be simplified but is is more complicated than I would have thought possible. After all these years of being frustrated it may be time to look at other options! Having used XP, Vista, and a no of other Microsoft operating systems I am at my whits end. When are you going to make your operating systems user friendly? You should not have to be a programmer to find and fix a minor problem that ends up being major!
