Account blocked, phone number verification not working

microsoft blocked my account due to alot activies please could you unblock it

Hoping to reset my password as the one before is quite old and needed changing.

It looks like I've been blocked as the first password was similar to my old password,

I've tried again to change my password again to a totally different word and it won't accept it

Looking forward to some help in resetting my password.

My Microsoft account got blocked earlier this week as unusual activity was detected. When I try to verify my account, the only options available to me are a security code sent to my phone number or the account recovery form. For whatever reason, if I try the phone verification method I get the error message saying 'That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method.'.

This is very frustrating as the number still works and I can still change my password through the 'Forgot password' button. Doing this sends me a message with a security code to the same number so I know it can work. I have also tried the account recovery form several times with as much detail as it would let me put in, and that still doesn't work. All my important emails are in this account and I really need to recover them, but nothing seems to work!
