Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
It is absolutely insanely maddening!! I cannot tab from TO or from CC. I can tab from the subject line the body and shift+tab works to go backwards.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Good morning,
Within the past 2 days, my Outlook Live web browser will no longer tab from the "TO" field to the "CC" field or the "BCC" field when email addresses autopopulate into the "TO" field.
It has tabbed fine for almost 5 years for all contacts, but for the past few days, it will no longer work on any of the names in my contact list.
If I enter their name and then try to tab down to the subject line, it highlights the name in yellow, but it will never tab down to the other fields.
If I put my cursor in the subject line and then tab, the cursor will move from the subject line to the body of the email.
Why is the Outlook Live web browser functioning this way on certain names in my contact list?
I have cleared my cache and cookies.
I have tried using incognito mode.
Nothing has worked.

I contacted Microsoft Support and they asked me to switch to Classic Outlook. The Tech was able to use Able Assist program to connect to my laptop and once he saw the problem, he went into set up and switched me to Classic Outlook. He explained that Classic Outlook is more advanced etc and it did solve this tab problem. I used Classic Outlook in the past for many years, as it was more focused on the work community. Not hard to change over to and works the same way and easier in some cases.
So it appears the only option besides "work arounds" is to switch to Classic Outlook? Not helpful at all, Microsoft.
I don't want to switch my entire view to solve one issue.
Perhaps Microsoft can figure out how to FIX the problem in OWA.
I am in the New Outlook and am having the same problem for the past couple of days. This has got to stop!
I have the exact same issue with all 'autofill' contacts. When I called the folks on Microsoft's help desk, they had the same issue. It's a programming bug that needs to be fixed. Just shaking my head.... please hurry MS365 - or at least give me 1 month's credit on my subscription for all the agravation and frustration.
