Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
Had the same issue (Chrome 134.0.6998.36 and previous version) but worked in incognito.
Relogging seems to fix the bug.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Just as the title says, this began for the first time this morning. My Outlook webpage will refresh within seconds of opening any emails with attachments or opening up a new email to write regardless of email account or browser. I've tried on Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and my main browser, Chrome, to no avail. Have not found any solutions including clearing browsing history/cache/cookies, disabling any and all extensions, and even removing extensions from my browser entirely. I've also reset my password twice, restarted my computer, and don't know what to do from here.

This is the answer.
On Chrome go to the three dots in the top right corner click on it and go to delete browsing data.
Choose to delete it for the last 24 hours and that should be enough to fix the problem.
You will have to sign back into outlook but then it seems to work.
Unfortunately, Edge has switched from their own proprietary engine (Trident? For IE /Edge Legacy) to Chromium, so the Chrome/Edge will likely have similar issues for email. The difference might be what's cached as clearing the cache has seemed to help fix the issue temporarily.
Firefox is one of the sole remaining direct competitors to Chromium (Google's open source browser engine that Chrome & Edge are built upon) that is built on its own engine (Gecko), so that might be why you're having more success on Firefox. Also, I cannot speak to how well Edge is geared towards Linux OSes, be it Ubuntu, Mint, or other variants, but I would assume all other functionality is pretty well great based on how Microsoft allows WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) code to run on Windows.
I think the biggest factor is the webmail app itself loaded into any browser, because neither of the Outlook Classic or Outlook New applications have this issue at all. It's shocking so many still use the webmail version of Outlook instead of a robust and capable application.
I work from Ubuntu 24.04.2 Desktop, and I have seen that from the MS Edge browser installed on this Linux, their apps too frequently crash, but when I open the MS Apps via Chromium browser, the MS Apps are more stable.
Unfortunately, today, Outlook also stopped working from the Chromium browser, because I could not reply to emails, and the Outlook app was reloading when I attempted to do simple things, such as reply to emails or accept meetings.
I don't use Firefox browser frequently, but I gave it a chance today, because the MS Edge and Chromium browsers were not working properly with the MS Apps. After some testing, I was surprised to see everything working correctly from this Firefox browser.
