UPDATE 28Apr2025: I renewed and changed my subscription to Microsoft Personal Classic and that *seemed* to eliminate Co-Pilot. For how long? Who knows? But at least now its no longer showing up on my emails. Thank you to everyone who shared my frustrations and who offered suggestions.
How do I remove Copilot from my Outlook email (and all other applications for that matter)? I have a 5 year old MacBook Pro. I use Outlook (Hotmail account) and all of a sudden CoPilot has appeared when I start writing or replying to emails. I do NOT want it. I do NOT need it. It is VERY distracting and I want to disable and/or remove it. Any advice would be most appreciated. I tried searching online but could not find a suitable answer. Thank you.
I do not know if I have the New or Legacy Outlook.

It's much simpler than that. They just want to charge us an extra 30% or $30 for something we don't want or need. It's like a virus or the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH, a mafia operation.

Yeah! BTW, we paid for this product. Why am I contributing to your sw dev? It'd be different if you offered the product for free, to help test, provide base data, qa,, honestly. But nah. I don't want to rant. I want the product fixed. I see the summary improving from my feedback. Should we wreck that with false bad info? Would that work?
Dear Linda and Microsoft,
I am writing in support of the many users who want Copilot to be an OPTIONAL feature in Outlook email that can be easily disabled. As others have noted, I find Copilot to be distracting and intrusive. I do not wish to be guided in reading or writing my email. It is presumptuous (and insulting) for Microsoft to presume that I can't compose my own email messages. Furthermore, the recipients of my email messages want to read MY writing, not some AI Bot's language.
Please provide an option to disable Copilot.
