Removing Copilot from Outlook email

UPDATE 28Apr2025: I renewed and changed my subscription to Microsoft Personal Classic and that *seemed* to eliminate Co-Pilot. For how long? Who knows? But at least now its no longer showing up on my emails. Thank you to everyone who shared my frustrations and who offered suggestions.

How do I remove Copilot from my Outlook email (and all other applications for that matter)? I have a 5 year old MacBook Pro. I use Outlook (Hotmail account) and all of a sudden CoPilot has appeared when I start writing or replying to emails. I do NOT want it. I do NOT need it. It is VERY distracting and I want to disable and/or remove it. Any advice would be most appreciated. I tried searching online but could not find a suitable answer. Thank you.

I do not know if I have the New or Legacy Outlook.

    Wait.... CD's? Is that still an option? Tell me more, because I absolutely hate the subscription thing.

    Back in the good olde days, in the previous millennium, not the AD's (80's) or BC's (Before COVID) we used to buy the CD's and load them on all our computers. Then, we would NEVER update the software, and it would work perfectly forever. They "tricked" us with their new labor-saving updates for only $99 annually, up to five computers with the latest and greatest software packages, all maxed out and without AI, that curse on humanity. Ah, the good olde days before that symbol tracking our cursor ("cursing it all the way") and reading our emails first, like the Devil-himself (Bill Gates) standing over your shoulder. I need a "Coach" for my writing like I need Satan-himself working by my side, always.

    I will give them another month (February 2025) to fix this new time and energy parasite, Operation Paper Clip resurrected. It's like dealing with a dinosaur who doesn't see you, unless you move or make noises. Then, I will switch to Gmail, leaving the AI to duke it out with my never ending junk mail, wasting one hour a day to let Microsoft know that I am a victim of "Phishing." I just cancelled my Microsoft 365 Family subscription, will switch back to CD's every ten years. They obviously don't need our business, made enough money already selling the Vaxxx to the Useless Eaters.

    This is simply unacceptable. Emails is the LAST place ai should be. Why would I want something scanning all my emails- with private information in them- reading them "for me"? Copilot needs an off switch

    This is ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS. I never asked for the Auto co-pilot, nor do I want it. It is a horrible intrusion of my privacy and ability to send emails via Outlook. If you cannot correct the issue, I will no longer be using Microsoft Outlook for any email communications. Kindly advise as to a solution without directing me another site that is going to give me the same answer that you provided in this thread.
