UPDATE 28Apr2025: I renewed and changed my subscription to Microsoft Personal Classic and that *seemed* to eliminate Co-Pilot. For how long? Who knows? But at least now its no longer showing up on my emails. Thank you to everyone who shared my frustrations and who offered suggestions.

How do I remove Copilot from my Outlook email (and all other applications for that matter)? I have a 5 year old MacBook Pro. I use Outlook (Hotmail account) and all of a sudden CoPilot has appeared when I start writing or replying to emails. I do NOT want it. I do NOT need it. It is VERY distracting and I want to disable and/or remove it. Any advice would be most appreciated. I tried searching online but could not find a suitable answer. Thank you.

I do not know if I have the New or Legacy Outlook.

Firefox is a great web browser and it will let you use any search engine you want. I'm using Windows and Outlook, but use Firefox instead of Edge. No major problems. Once in awhile Edge wants to inject itself into things without my permission but not often and not a huge problem.

I don't think the copy and paste issue is even related to Copilot per se - it's been getting worse for a while, even before the AI inrush. I think it's because the clipboard is trying to be available to all the available apps, so there's a buffering delay after the copy action and before the paste action is enabled. I agree, completely infuriating, especially when trying to simply copy and paste within a spreadsheet or document and it has to freeze everything to "think about it."

Why do you continue to add copilot to apps even AFTER I remove them. What is going on, this is a communist move. I don't what and have ZERO interest in copilot yet Microsoft continues to SHOVE it down our throats. Is this because the Chinese are now part owners of Microsoft? Now I see you are shoving copilot chat down our throats. Stop telling us what WE want.

Just want to say that as of today, I can uninstall Copilot from my Outlook. I'm using the old version (new version kills my eyes) and all I did was right-click copilot in the side ribbon and select uninstall. I then completely restarted Outlook and it went away. It's also not showing up under the "more apps" box on that ribbon too.
