Why I'm not able to login my outlook account in mail app in iPhone

There is a known issue they are working on today - Issue ID EX1021490

Users may be experiencing issues with accessing email messages on the iOS native mail app

Users may be able to click "continue" when prompted and navigate back to re-entering their password to attempt to resolve impact. Additionally, some users may be able to bypass the prompt to sign-in by clicking "edit settings" and then entering into the app

Any user serviced by the affected infrastructure may experience issues with accessing email messages on the iOS native mail app.

Our analysis of the diagnostics logs has identified authentication failures, which we're continuing to investigate so that we can isolate the source of the impact.

Our investigation into the authentication failures has so far revealed that there is an issue with the authentication tokens being sent from the iOS native mail app. We're continuing to investigate and determine the next steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Iphone mail app won't accept correct password

asked for new set up password

Microsoft doesn't complete the new password as dosen't send verification notice to either alternative email nor phone

On my desk top it's fine

One Outlook App it's fine

but i need my Iphone mail as has contact information saved in there that i need on my phone.

I'm having the same problem with Outlook email on my iPhone 15. Multiple tries and frustration. Outlook mail is fine on my PC.

Exactly the same problem for me on iphone 16 pro and IOS 18.3.1

I'm having the same problem, I've deleted the outlook App on my phone and when I try then to add Outlook, I get "too many attempts, login blocked". When I try to reset my password, it won't accept the Authenticator code, it won't give me a code via my alternate email account or via text. I end up getting "too many attempts, try tomorrow". Got that yesterday as well. Outlook works fine on my PC.
