How to fix: “cannot get mail: the connection to the server failed”?

I tried everything, literally! And still nothing helped! I am having this issue on my Mail app and outlook app and on every browser!!! Please help me!!!!!

    i have been trying for hours and been onto virgin media and O2. Casnnot send or receive emails as it says failure to connect to server. Is there a problem. Going mad.

    What time is the issue supposed to be fixed by? It is now 11:11 US Central time, which seems to be past the anticipated UTC time. Please advise. Thank you!

    Finally working again for me, after almost a full working day!
    It was a Microsoft outage, looks like they've now fixed it

    I'm having the same problem I tried contacting support got stuck in a 1000-person line and wasn't able to make it to my screen when i was number 1 got kicked for not responding and didn't get to see how to fix it
