My outlook stop receiving emails nor can I send emails from outlook. There is no error message from Outlook stating why it's not syncing.

I've checked gmail acct, IMAP is enabled.

I've logged out of Outlook and re-link my gmail acct to outlook, didn't work.

I've uninstalled the new Outlook and set everything up, still didn't work.

This is the new Outlook version that i'm working with. It stopped working yesterday at 3:30pm. Everything was working fine then suddenly I couldn't send an email then noticed no new emails were coming in.

Paul - I am seeing the same issue with the emails prior to the malfunction, however - didn't notice that right away until your comment came through. I am hoping it is just a slow-loading issue? I can do a quick search and bring up emails from prior malfunction dates, but I have to double click on them to open and see them - they aren't showing in the view pane. May just be working from gmail going forward cuz I don't have time for this nonsense.

Thanks Jerry! That solved my problem as well. Had uninstalled and reinstalled only on the one device originally - it's always a little scary to yes to removing from all when you're not that techno savvy. Once I removed the malfunctioning email from All devices in the Outlook Account area (it pops up with that option) and reinstalled, my email reinstalled with all the updated emails.

    Thanks for the insight!!

    Martha

POTENTIAL SOLUTION: I had deleted and readded my non-functional gmail from Windows Outlook to no avail. Only removed it fr om windows not all devices. This morning had a minor epiphany. Another Gmail account had also gone inactive. I deleted the two offending Gmaill accounts from ALL ACCOUNTS and re-added them. Both are now functioning normally. Peroson Opinion is that in order to fix the problem the info that Outlook stores in the cloud had to be removed.

I tried this, worked fine for emails AFTER the time/date it stopped working BUT now I cannot see ANY emails prior to the time/date it stopped working.

Sad state of affairs being forced to this new client by MS and having these issues.
