new outlook not syncing with gmail, no error message

Same issue with one gmail account "suddenly" not syncing or able to send messages from new outlook (other gmail accounts continuing to sync ok). Same account ok in gmail web version and on ios phone but not in outlook anymore.

• Tried removing and adding gmail account to Outlook
• tried removing all access from gmail and re-adding access to Microsoft apps in gmail prior to adding account back to Outlook, oh and now, all my subfolders don't appear under Archive, and
• verified IMAP enabled in gmail.

I've uninstalled the new Outlook and set everything up, still didn't work.

This is the new Outlook version that i'm working with. It stopped working yesterday at 3:30pm. Everything was working fine then suddenly I couldn't send an email then noticed no new emails were coming in.

updating to my other post: reached out to MS support, very helpful; had to delete the affected account; then go into security settings using web access, created "app password" THEN re-added the affect account back into Outlook using the "new" app PW and worked!

Just deleted the account ON ALL DEVICES and re-added the account. It worked!

MS - This app seems to have more bugs than any other app I use. Especially in Windows.

Emails don't always send "Can't send email right now check back later" WHAT?

How reliable is that? Forget the features and fix the basics!

This worked for me.

I carried out the same steps as you did. However, the only thing that made work was, when adding the accounts back again there is a step where is says "Sync directly with google" (Something along those lines, mine is in spanish), I clicked on that and carried out the logging in steps, somehow it started working again.

I have the same issue. My Gmail account won't sync with New Outlook. I contacted Microsoft help and let them take control of my computer. Never fixed the issue. Was told it's a known issue and to wait it out. That was two to three days ago. Will work for a while and then breaks again. Ridiculous!
