Settings: Junk Mail: Blocked Senders: Domain Gostarmedia.com & *@gostsarmedia.com do not block incoming spam

For at least two weeks, I've been inundated with spam from the domain gostarmedia.com. I've created the following "solutions" all without success.

Rules

Sender Address Includes "gostarmedia" (without quotes)

Categorize as Spam

Move to Junk Email

Junk Mail

*@gostarmedia.com

gostarmedia.com

It would be really great if Hotmail could stop letting ****clowns like these from getting through if someone enters a valid domain. That or allow more wildcards (e.g. *@*.gostarmedia.com), instead of only allowing it in place of usernames preceding the @.

Today, I searched and deleted 16 out of 18 Junk Mail emails, that had the gostarmedia.com domain in their addresses.

Thanks!

You can block domains but this only stops email coming to your regular inbox. It'll just go to the junk folder instead.

Like many, my junk folder is full of spam from gostarmedia.com and it's a waste of my time having to check this folder to see if any emails I want to read have ended up there amid the junk.

I'd like the function to block a domain so that no blocked messages ever appear in my inbox, junk folder or anywhere else, they are dealt with automatically.

I have tried MANY MANY options, and just found the following:

The Outlook Junk Mail filter usually acts before email rules do. For those using an Exchange server, keep in mind that the spam filter on the server has precedence. As a result, your rules (both on the server and on the client) won't apply to messages redirected to the spam folder.

If true, you'd think they could add a step to run the rules or at least tell us why our rules aren't working.

I have used Outlook for so many years, changing my email address at this point would be a nightmare, but it sure is tempting.

In the world of AI, you'd think Microsoft would have an AI that could tell these emails are spam/phishing. It only takes a glance for me to identify these annoying emails.

    Same problem here.

I have tried to block the domain and set up several different rules, but still these gostarmedia emails continue to get through. Very odd?

    Some other thoughts.

Utilize the "Mark as Junk" Feature for Training

To be clear, when you do this, it adds an entry to your blocked senders list. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when should I expect you to update your server-side filters to block this domain? It's utterly pointless to spam the Blocked Senders lists with individual email addresses from the same domain.

    Check Your "Safe Senders" List.

    I already did this! Next?

    Beware of Sender Spoofing

In order to perform a sender spoof they still need to have a domain attached? No? Also, I'm aware of this approach and their email address doesn't contain my own.

None of this is working. Can you please just ban the domain?!

    Thanks!
