Hi

Outlook on Chrome browser on Mac.

Outlook keeps refreshing the page every time I'm trying to do something - type an email etc. It's just started doing this and I have no idea why?

How is this resolved?

    Dear Jack MCR

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are experiencing an issue with Outlook refreshing and not working properly.

Generally speaking, if the webpage keeps refreshing, it may mean that the data stored in your account cannot be read normally. This may be a problem with your password or an authentication issue on your account.

    For troubleshooting, let's confirm it.

If you can change to another browser/device, can you access Outlook Web normally?

If it still doesn't work, this is probably an account problem.

First, I recommend that you try to use this account to access https://account.live.com and try to access the account security page. If you can, immediately change your account password and try to access Outlook Web again. If you also encounter the problem of the page constantly refreshing on the Microsoft account website, try resetting your account password directly.

Reset a forgotten Microsoft account password - Microsoft Support

If the above solutions still cannot solve your problem, since the community team does not have the relevant authority to help you check your account, you can refer to the steps below to contact our account team and submit your account for further testing:

    1. Open a site link - Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the box below "Tell us your problem so we can get you the right help and support.", enter MSA, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below.
    3. In this section, you need to register a personal Microsoft account

    Note: You can only use a personal MSA to register, and the company account cannot display the correct content. If the account cannot be logged in, you can use another account or create a new account to execute;

    1. Select "Other Products" in Products & Services, select "Manage account security" as a category, and click to confirm
    2. You can select "Chat with support experts in web browser" to enter the chat window.

I hope the above information can help you. Thank you for your time and understanding.

    Kind Regards,

    Hardyjoe.J|Microsoft Community Support Specialist

I am having the same issue.
I cannot open a draft email or try to compose a new one or the whole browser page just refreshes multiple times then I'm back looking at my inbox again.

I see a bunch of CORS ajax errors and we are using the Microsoft hosted Outlook so there is nothing we can do here.
The calls are so aggressive I'm even seeing rate limit responses from the server on top of an array of various 4xx status codes.
I see these errors happening a bunch trying to call https://outlook.office365.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.json/v1.0/{email_address}?Protocol=ToDo

The error notes a CORS error from origin https://outlook.office.com which is very much a Microsoft issue and is causing users to be completely unable to use Outlook.

Maybe Microsoft should actually test releases and not just give vague crappy responses to support questions....

I have the same problem with constant refreshing on Firefox on PC.

I also had the issue on a Mac with Safari.

No issues on my Android mobile app.

I would love a solution as my email is basically unusable to have to type everything on a phone screen.

I am having the same issue on an organizational email account on Chrome. I have tried clearing my cookies and cache which initially helped before reverting back. I'm able to use properly on Incognito mode, however - which again makes me suspect an issue with cookies and/or cache.
