How can I disable Copilot completely in my Outlook WEB interface?

I am having the same issues.

I DO NOT want the Co-pilot banner on the top of every email and I DO NOT want it to offer to sort my email and put text in my email hassling me to try Co-pilot for my drafts.

I pay you for a service and you are not making it horrible to use pushing your forced AI rubbish down my throat.

I can not cancel my subscription as there is months to go and I can not downgrade as there is no option as per all other people on here.

Paying £85 annually for email and storage is rather costly if you are going to hassle me with your unwanted apps and then not allow me to turn them off after to enable them by default.

If I downgrade, should I ever manage to get the option, I assume you will not refund the difference either or I will need to live with this setup until it renews several months from now?

Frankly that is an appauling solution.

Co-Pilot is another Microsoft offering simply driving customers away.

Dear Stan, I have exactly the same issue using the Microsoft 365 Family subscription, so I feel permitted to answer your question:

On step three, there is no option to switch or downgrade to Classic plans. Instead, I have only either the button "Switch plan" for Microsoft 365 Personal (which is not what I need), or the button "I don't want my subscription" (which I'm afraid to click, because I could lose my data).

Can you please clarify internally why I don't see the Classic plans offered?

I had this and spent ages on with MS support so I will post this here for ease for people looking for this:

You have to go to Cancel Subscription - not Manage Subscription. it will offer you 2 free months and also underneath it should give you the option to downgrade to either Microsoft Family Classic at £7.99 per month, or to a Personal plan.

I agree, this Copilot is intrusive and maybe had it been implemented in a better way, I may have taken it up. However, the enforced price hike for something I didn't ask for along with it pushing Copilot in front of my cursor while I type is vulgar at best and my immediate reaction is to terminate it. Same with auto-suggestions. I know how to type, and what I'm typing - leave me alone Microsoft. /rant

Are you also on an annual subscription.

Seems if you are annual the change will not happen until your next billing cycle and you are stuck with co-pilot until then.

I tried four times to speak to billing support and technical support to see if they could just change it now but their agents are not proficient enough in english to even understand the question and even less able to read their own systems - yey I pay for a product to get out-sourced support in the 3rd world - quality.

So basically I am now downloading my entire onedrive (f**k you for this Microsoft) and once done will CANCEL my entire account and head on over to Google or the like.

This is a complete bin fire Microsoft - frankly you are over it and not worth it any more

I was able to turn copilot off in the installed Word app, so why not be able to turn it off in the outlook web interface?

I had it create a summary of a junk email, then gave it a thumb down rating. When asked for a comment about what went wrong I entered the following:

Copilot went wrong. Why is there NO way to turn off this offensive intrusion? I really don't want it. All worked well before Copilot - why is it that I am now considered a needy subscriber by Microsoft?

With assistants like copilot it becomes extremely clear how much of our communications are not private, but are being viewed, reviewed, and monitored.
