Outlook Mail won't let me sign in

I just tried to access Outlook and I've been greeted with this message:

Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later.

The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again.

I've reset my password, been sent five or six e-mail login codes which have gotten me nowhere - and it wouldn't even send me one to my phone - and I am at the end of my patience. Can someone please advise me what I need to do to fix this? I've been locked out on my iPad and my phone, and trying to refresh on my laptop just gets me that message.

Remove the account from within Settings and then re-add it. Does that change anything?

I called my cable company and they helped me. I had to rest my passwords. Now every thing is working fine. I gave them the password I wanted to use and they entered it into my accounts. Then I used the password to log in.

Same here. Feel like I'm running in circles. Does anyone suspect Elon Musks techies of sabotaging it? Did everyone loose outlook or just a select few people?
