Outlook Mail won't let me sign in

I just tried to access Outlook and I've been greeted with this message:

Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later.

The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again.

I've reset my password, been sent five or six e-mail login codes which have gotten me nowhere - and it wouldn't even send me one to my phone - and I am at the end of my patience. Can someone please advise me what I need to do to fix this? I've been locked out on my iPad and my phone, and trying to refresh on my laptop just gets me that message.

My email accounts are at Comcast.net and the passwords have not changed..

you can get to classic outlook using www.outlook.com on your computer. At least I can. No access to other than outlook emails in the same inbox - but it's something.

I am having the same issue/error! After updating to new phone, outlook won't load ... error msg something went wrong 5ssai

I have 2 hotmail accounts my main one it wont let me sign in and I have changed password so many times it is ridiculous !!!

but my other account I can sign into no problem

really need to get into my other account has anybody found a way to fix this issue thanks
