Outlook Mail won't let me sign in

I just tried to access Outlook and I've been greeted with this message:

Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later.

The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again.

I've reset my password, been sent five or six e-mail login codes which have gotten me nowhere - and it wouldn't even send me one to my phone - and I am at the end of my patience. Can someone please advise me what I need to do to fix this? I've been locked out on my iPad and my phone, and trying to refresh on my laptop just gets me that message.

Added an alias, tried to sign in after and then got greeted with the same issue as before.

Should I have made it primary instead?

    EDIT:

Changed it to primary and still didn't work

Never using Microsoft as a personal email again, hopefully I get all my emails back.

Has anyone managed to figure out the reason why, I haven't been able to check my emails but for some reason can sign in here and use it willy-nilly.

Even my uni account which uses outlook is working fine, just not my personal.

Checked the security and it's perfectly okay.

It's strange because the email wasn't working on my iPhone last night and now when I've tried to check my email today on my pc it's completely stopped me from from actually signing in.

I even went through the support avenue and its been loading the one customer connector for 15 minutes, the issue isn't my Wifi as it loads everything else.

Even called the support line and was greeted by a robot telling me to use the support on the browser - which as I proved is not working.

Do I just have to wait it out till they fix it?

Will they even fix it? I have important email I need to respond to and now it's all completely inaccessible.

This is straight up embarrassing from a company like Microsoft, they need to do better.

Please if someone's figured out, I beg you to respond and let me know.

    Thank you!
