How do I TURN OFF the "Summary by Copilot banner that appears on every single email I receive in outlook?

I may, maybe once a year when tagged into a super long email thread try to get a summary... but 99.99% of the time I will never want to use this, as such the banner is annoying and consumes lots of valuable space where I could render my email.

How can I turn this off? or hide it by default?

    I also do not want your AI copilot and find it appalling that users can't opt in or out. This needs to be corrected.

    This is so annoying; we should be able to right click and request that we never see the banner again. Also, I don't need anything to pop up and tell me when I've deleted an email.

    SOLVED!!

    In the Outlook app:

    1. Click the settings gear in the top right of the Outlook window.
    2. On the left, click on "General".
    3. In the middle, click on "Privacy and data".
    4. On the right, scroll all the way to the bottom and click on "Privacy settings".
    5. Scroll down to "Connected experiences" and turn off "Turn on experiences that analyze your content".

    The Summary by Copilot will not appear on your emails anymore.

    Unfortunately, the "Privacy settings" section doesn't appear in the browser version so I don't know how to turn it off there. However, I did find this setting duplicated at https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/data-settings but it doesn't seem to work in the browser version.

    Unfortunately, if you do that, you also give up a whole list of features (including Editor): https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-apps/privacy/connected-experiences#connected-experiences-that-analyze-your-content
