How do I TURN OFF the "Summary by Copilot" banner that appears on every single email I receive in outlook?

Adding myself to the list of end users who despise this egregious waste of space.

Copilot email summaries are 99.99% useless - they are usually equal in length to the original email. I can read. I don't need this.

And that banner takes up SO MUCH real estate.

This seems to be a case of Microsoft shoving its product strategy in people's faces, hoping to force me to get used to something, so they can consider their terrible product a "success" - instead of respecting users and their preferences and letting them see, or don't see, whatever they choose.

It's also frustrating when the Microsoft replies on this forum require systemwide admin changes when the questions are coming from end users who don't have admin access and who don't want to impose a policy on the entire organization and just need a setting for the individual user.

The steps outlined above did not work for me either. Did anyone find a way to disable the "summary by copilot" on every email? It's the most annoying thing and I may have to switch back to the old outlook to get rid of it. I have no idea who would design this option and not allow users to be able to turn it off.

This doesn't work. The banner is still there. Can you guys please give users the option to turn that off? As other posters have said, there are other ways to access and use Copilot, you don't need it in your face every time you read an email.

I've been asked the same thing by my users. I want to report that many folks are deeply unsatisfied that they have a banner in a prime location that's unable to be moved or removed.

I totally agree - why is this not an option to turn this off - there is already 2 other places on the screen where co-pilot icon appears - why have I got a banner that I very rarely use taking up lots of screen real estate ?
