How do I TURN OFF the "Summary by Copilot banner that appears on every single email I receive in outlook?
I may, maybe once a year when tagged into a super long email thread try to get a summary... but 99.99% of the time I will never want to use this, as such the banner is annoying and consumes lots of valuable space where I could render my email.
How can I turn this off? or hide it by default?

Please allow option to disable this banner. My working area is crowded enough without unneccessary and redundant banner information.
This has nothing to do with "Sales Copilot". This is about M365 Copilot.
I see that you just went & plugged in the question to Copilot yourself and pasted it in - even though the answer is completely wrong.
Hope that you're not making a habit of copy/pasting Ai generated answers without having any knowledge about the subject matter being asked in a particular question.
I previously opened a case to Microsoft (in January '24) for this & there is no option to disable the "Summary by Copilot" in Outlook without disabling M365 Copilot altogether. Microsoft suggestion is to, after using Copilot, select the "thumbs down" button and provide feedback so that they eventually incorporate the option to disable this from Outlook.
This should be a user setting, not a system-wide setting.
"Summary by Copilot" currently appears for any email, not matter how short. Why not consider a threshold for character count, or number of responses in a thread?
Also, if I close the "Summary by copilot' banner on a message, then navigate to another message, I don't want to see it again when I return to the message where I have already closed it. You have created a screen real estate-wasting game of whack-a-mole.
Please let individual users hide the "Summary by Copilot" banner in the Outlook reading pane.
Agree, takes up too much space and I have never used it afer trying a few times.
Please give us the option to able/disable it. Thank you!
