How do I TURN OFF the "Summary by Copilot banner that appears on every single email I receive in outlook?

I may, maybe once a year when tagged into a super long email thread try to get a summary... but 99.99% of the time I will never want to use this, as such the banner is annoying and consumes lots of valuable space where I could render my email.

How can I turn this off? or hide it by default?

    The solution is simple

    1. Stop using all MS office apps - there are alternatives
    2. Stop using Edge - there are alternatives

Don't allow any app that forces this childish AI gibberish on users

Send the message out to MS child programmers

    • we don't need AI
    • we don't want AI

So simply terminate your Sub, and in the ensuing screen that ask why, simply type "AI"

Great suggestion. Click on the banner once and let it give the stupid copilot summary, then hit the "thumbs down" button and give microsoft the feedback to get rid of this worthless waste of space. I've already done it. The more people that do this, the more likely microsoft will do something.

I have this same problem, Suddenly a notification above my email I'm trying to process. Summary? I'm retired, I don't get lengthy emails and if I do I unsubscribe immediately. Very distracting! I have ADHD and absolutely NEED a very streamlined interface! Please think of your users and don't assume one size fits all. This should NOT have been implemented without a quick fix to remove it! Also, I have a simple, Personal Account. I am not an organization.

    You CANNOT turn it off.

You can DOWNGRADE to a lower priced microsoft 365 plan that doesn't come with copilot.

    Wrong.

I already have the cheapest possible version of microsoft 365. So whatever may have been true in the past, there is NO version of microsoft 365 that does not have it.

It has been foisted upon me without my permission.

I give Microsoft until the end of the month to rectify this situation and if they have not, I will terminate my contract.
