How do I TURN OFF the "Summary by Copilot banner that appears on every single email I receive in outlook?
I may, maybe once a year when tagged into a super long email thread try to get a summary... but 99.99% of the time I will never want to use this, as such the banner is annoying and consumes lots of valuable space where I could render my email.
How can I turn this off? or hide it by default?

Go to General-Privacy and data (New spy Outlook app) -Privacy setting and turn of Experiences that analize your content ..
Web outlook is permanently on. Not possible to turn it off. The web version remains on for a simple reason: spying, analyzing, and profiling. They don't want you to turn it off and won't let you.

I do NOT want it and neither does any of my family members. Yet when I go to disable it, it tells me to get it..
Thanks for that. I've just switched mine to get rid of copilot in those apps at least. Hopefully M$ will listen and provide the option to disable in outlook web.
Would be far better for the end-user if there was simply an option to disable it outright, or at the very least, put users by default onto the non-AI version at the same price, rather than try to swipe an extra 30% off every M365 customer. That's a really underhanded tactic.
that's no solution. I've had my outlook accounts since 1994, hardly practical to switch.
