How to remove the unverified sender message?

Hi,

I keep getting an 'unverified sender' message in Outlook (desktop and web app). I've added the address to 'trusted sender' and I've whitelisted the domain but still keep getting it.

The sender is 'trusted' and a reputable domain.

Is there anything else I can do on my side or is it down to the sender?

Many thanks,

Charlie

Thank you for your response. I understand why it is there. That was not my question. You did not respond to what I asked.

    This is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING.
Microsoft - please turn this off (or give us the ability to turn it off)

I'll second this as well! I never used to have to troubleshoot Microsoft apps we would install them on new computers and then never think about them again.

Everything they have done to improve and enhance just wrecks the stability of the things we depend on. The 365 suite is the worst thing that has ever happened to Microsoft, and that is in a world where we had Windows 8. We end up fighting apps problems every day now. It's stuff like this that has us strategizing, how to move away from all M$ over the next 10 years. The default for a feature like this should be off.

Ostensibly the Unverified Sender notification indicates that the message hasn't passed DMARC ... but emails I've sent to my MS365 account from both my Google and Proton accounts are getting flagged with this well. Surely you aren't suggesting that they, too, do not have DMARC, et al, properly configured?
