how can I remove the ads from my email in outlook on my android phone?

This is a useless reply. I, like so many others on this page, have attempted to make contact with MS in order to find out what is happening and why. This is new! I have a paid subscription and yet the ads continue. I was on hold for an hour today hoping to speak to someone at one of the world's richest corporations. Nothing. I think it is time for me to ditch the Outlook app and find something else as an email provider. Useless.

I managed to "fix'" this in June. You MUST have an "outlook.com" account/email address~~, such as *** Email address is removed for privacy ***~~. You need to enter that as an "alias" in your Microsoft account, where all your MSstuff is. Your extra storage subscriptions, your OneDrive account, your payment methods, and your MS 365 subscription, etc.

The SOLUTION was received in June after struggling for a month or so that I received from Microsoft follows. REMEMBER, I am just the messenger.

To be FREE you MUST have an outlook.com account. It's a @#%&! but these instructions eventually work:

Your ad-free subscription benefits apply automatically for all Outlook.com accounts, including those ending in outlook.com, hotmail.com, live.com, and msn.com*. They also apply automatically for Gmail accounts. If you have a different 3rd party email address, we are not able to detect your subscription automatically. However, you can get your ad-free benefit using the instructions below.*

1. Log into https://account.microsoft.com using the email address where you purchased the subscription.
2. Click on “Your Info” at the top.
3. Next to the “Account info” header click on “Edit account info.” You may be prompted to log in again.
4. You’ll see a list of account aliases. Click on “Add email” to add a new alias.
5. Create a new Outlook.com email address by selecting, “Create a new email address and add it as an alias.”

Once you’ve followed the steps to create your new Outlook.com email address, you canadd it as an account in Outlook. Adding this account will grant your ad-free Outlook benefit.

Louis.Yang-MFST Your reply to this issue that many of us are experiencing, really wasn't very helpful.

As far as I'm aware, there's no such thing as "free outlook" for anyone. You have to have a Microsoft account which we have all paid for, therefore all privileges which are accredited to our pc's, tablets or laptops, should also apply to our mobile phones.

This issue is now becoming very annoying to all of us.

Please ask Microsoft to fix it.

I think I had to create and outlook.com email address that I don't use for anything as an MS365 alias. Nuts but what it is.

I have the same problem although interestingly only on my Android phone and not on my Windows 11 machine. I have a fully paid up subscription for MS 365 but still have it and the correct address is registered !!!!!!!
