receiving many spam emails from sender renew@

Every day I receive 20-30 emails where the sender from address starts with renew@ (see image below) Outlook is placing these messages in the Junk email folder. But, every day I have to scan the Junk mail folder looking for appropriate messages that should have shown up in my Inbox.

I would like to create a Rule that automatically deletes any message in the Junk email folder who's sender name begins with "renew@"

I have actually created a rule but I cannot figure out how to run it against the Junk email folder.

I'm in the same position. I have setup rules, even considered making them not be sent to junk in order for the rule to apply within the Inbox since it cannot be for our Junk folder. I'm considering switching to a different domain and starting from scratch with emphasis on plus addressing absolutely anything I use it for - I already have to pay monthly for this domain. Surely there has to be someway to filter these out. I've allowed to show block content only to see the spam is pulling random addresses from existing businesses unrelated to "write in" to unsubscribe. Every "Unsubscribe" link different and I imagine double down on you if you inputted your information.

    Hi Brian,

Do you know how I could submit an enhancement request to Microsoft so we could specify a folder other than Inbox to run Rules against?

    Thanks

    Paul

I find myself on the same position. I hate having to block +50 adressess each day and having to scrap through the spam folder just in case a false positive was detected... It's just a shame we can not apply rules to any folder... come on!!!

I have the same problem too! I am very careful with browsing and opening any emails I receive. I feel the renew@domain. com are from a hack originating from microsoft and it’s their responsibility to enforce the security of users. If you notice, all instances have occurred within the last few days here. Therefore it originated from microsoft being hacked in some manner.

I have the same issue from this sender. Massive amounts of spam every single day. The problem is sometimes real email gets added to the junk folder. Therefore you must check junk mail folder regularly to ensure real mail isn't being deleted in the junk. Scanning for real mail in the junk is a horrible, tedious experience when you have 40+ email per day from Renew@ spam. Blocking each of these one by one does nothing, as every email somehow has a different address, despite starting with Renew@.

Microsoft needs to batch block or track down this specific spammer. It makes using Microsoft email experience horrible to the point of unusable. Please help.
