Sending, receiving, and organizing email in Outlook.com
I think it's a shame for Microsoft. Someone is massively spaming you Outlook for weeks, and there is nothing you can do to help your users. Incredibly!

Every day I receive 20-30 emails where the sender from address starts with renew@ (see image below) Outlook is placing these messages in the Junk email folder. But, every day I have to scan the Junk mail folder looking for appropriate messages that should have shown up in my Inbox.
I would like to create a Rule that automatically deletes any message in the Junk email folder who's sender name begins with "renew@"
I have actually created a rule but I cannot figure out how to run it against the Junk email folder.

Yes, the same happened to me. But pattern is the same - preview@ remains, and the rest of the address is always different.
The spammer is quite good in playing bad games with Microsoft... and users are the victims... :-(
Brian,
Could you please tell me how I can present my problem to Microsoft. It appears that many Outlook.com users are experiencing the issue in which spam email are sent to our Outlook.com email account. The sender is listed as ******@xyz.com (the domain names are different on every email).
You have very kindly pointed out that the Rules engine works only against the Inbox. Furthermore, you stated to leave the messages in Junk email and they will get deleted after 30 days. For many of us we received 25-50 of these annoying emails every day. We must periodically scan the Junk email folder for authentic messages that ended up in that folder.
I have posted an enhancement suggestion using the Help, Feedback feature of Outlook. I was wondering if there is a way to escalate this issue with the appropriate team at Microsoft.
Thank you.

Your fix requires the desktop version of Outlook. I am using the web version of Outlook. I believe the majority of the people posting replies are also using the web version.
Outlook Web Version detects these emails and automatically deposits them in the Junk email folder. Thanks for offering your solution but it won't work with the Web version.
We need Microsoft to enhance the Rules engine to run against folders besides the Inbox.
I have posted an enhancement request. But, do not think they will respond to this annoying issue in the near future.
I have the same issue. 50+ spam every single day. I must check my junk mail folder regularly to ensure that something I need isn't being deleted in the junk. Scanning for real mail in the junk is a very tedious experience when you have so many emails per day from Renew@ spam. Blocking each of these one by one does nothing, as every email somehow has a different address, despite starting with Renew@. There has to be a fix for this. PLEASE HELP.
